This week’s photo of the week: ME! Because I promised to post a shot of my Land’s End swim suit, here it is. Isn’t this a cute suit? The girl inside it ain’t bad, either. Not that I’m suggesting it was at all easy to pose in a swimsuit for all the Internet to see. Or to get my six-year-old to hold my 35mm digital SLR camera steady – but it was all for a good cause, right?

Wow your six year old is going to have a future career in photography. That is a great shot and you look beautiful in the Land’s End swimsuit. We can tell so much better how it fits than the company picture you showed in a previous post. Have fun getting wet!
Great suit! And the pattern is really flattering. I just saved up and bought myself a new suit from Junonia that I’m really excited about.
I decided about 5 years ago to finally quit trying to wear bathing suits that didn’t make me feel good and buy something to wear to the pool that did. My first tankini from Junonia (solid black bike-style shorts and solid black top) was great, but when the top got wet it ballooned up. My new suit is one piece with longer legs. It’s black with hot pink details. Wasn’t too sure about the hot pink part, but it adds some nice definition. Our weather has been a smidge cool (go figure!) but I’m headed to a family reunion at the beach in a few weeks. Can’t wait to take the first dip in my new suit!
Thanks for the encouraging and really oh-so-nice comments, everyone! I’d have done a full body shot but I still have a wicked silly tan line from my capri pants sunburn incident and it’s so ridiculous looking it would’ve distracted from the fabulousness of the swimsuit. And, the Internet didn’t implode upon the sight of me in a bathing suit, woo hoo!
Moe, I’m so glad this portrait showed how these pieces fit a bit better. For that reason alone, it was worth it!
